Ditto for me- and when we are going across the country in the RV, I shout out when I see the "barn quilts" that are along the way. I really want him to stop so I can take a picture, but usually, it's too cumbersome for him to stop fast and park safely, so I just have happy memories instead.
It's a long drive for you , but the town on Tillamook, Oregon has barn quilts on many of the buildings. They have a famous cheese and ice cream factory, so we visit the factory, buy cheese, have some delicious ice cream and then drive around town to see all the quilts.
