You are so right about colors!! My sil wanted me to make a tshirt quilt for her from old marathon shirts of hers and wanted dusty pink and green fabric in it! Not colors to complement most tshirts! I hated every minute working on that quilt cuz it was so ugly. She has enough shirts for another and IF I do it, I will use my own plan and surprise her with it.
