Lightbulb Need advice on quilt design for John Deere Quilt

This is a very colorful quilt using lots of different fabrics. I was trying to show what the land looks like from an airplane, while incorporating John Deere fabric and color. I don't want to take away from the prints, but rather draw attention to how the landscape changes from one acre to another in the air.

Should I stitch in the ditch?
Should I do free motion designs?
All one design? I was thinking of the wave design but it just looks so busy over this very busy fabric.

Should I stitch 1/8 inch from the seam around all of the blocks or just some of them?
I have a yellow thread that exactly match the border and the back, I was thinking of using that.
I will add a pix of the entire quilt if that will help.
