just about everything is different in EQ8. i wouldn't say it's not good. i will only say i don't particularly enjoy it compared to 6 or 7.
i still have 7 installed as well because EQStitch does not work with EQ 8.

if you are out of installs for EQ6, call EQ tech support. they can help with that and almost certainly will.
