Some patterns work so much better with paper piecing, this is one of them. I LOVE to PP. I use newsprint paper from Amazon which tears out much easier than printer paper. It is also much cheaper than the papers sold for PP. A hint that makes it easier, is to use a strip of template plastic to fold the paper when trimming. Also I found a cuticle nipper at the dollar store to help get out the paper in the corners works so much better than fingers or a tweezers.
