I'm thinking some design in the center, then straight lines on either side of the large diagonal seams. Not sure how to describe it, but I see four big Vs pointing to that center. Inside the big Vs I could see doing additional lines or doing some kind of flower/vine type design.
If I knew how to draw on top of your picture, I could show what I mean instead of trying to explain it in words!
