Moira in N.E. England

I would like to make a French braid quilt.

I have 12 fat quarters (2 x 6 patterns). If I cut each fat quarter into 21 pieces - 2.5 inches by 7 inches - I will get a total of 252 pieces.

Could some clever quilter give me an approximate idea of the size quilt this will make?
