These are beautiful quilts. I once had an idea for doing that with my late father's ties, but my son was at such an age as to wear them --loud, crazy ties that my dad was famous for. So of course, they are probably long gone, as the kid is now 40 and probably left them in a storage unit somewhere along the way!
