There is a Boye needle and shuttle bobbin case dispenser that was used in the old days at sewing shops
to sell needles and bobbin cases for vibrating shuttle machines. They look like a little cake pan with a
chart and scale on top with a rotating dial. All of the bobbin cases and needles were shown on top
with a rotating dial that you used to select your machine and then it told you what needle and bobbin
case it took. These are very hard to find and supper expensive if you can find one. There are a couple
out on Bonanza and ebay now if you want to see what they look like. They were kind of the bible for
the old shuttle machines. Looking on top at the needles you can see that the sizes started below 16
and went to 20, 26 and beyond. This dispenser with the dial would show you any machine that took
these needles. I would really like to have one but they usually want hundreds to buy one.
