Congrats on the wonderful weight loss! And you found a new pastime in the process.... Great quilt, all handmade! Yes, you should get a sewing machine if you are going to continue. You can make more quilts, faster!
Can I give you a tip? Your hand quilting is great, but you will find it easier if you quilt 1/4" away from the seams, rather than right on them. With a machine it doesn't matter, but quilting by hand, it really makes a difference. You'll have so many less layers to go through.
