Do any of you remember around 2002, 2003 when WalMart removed the fabric sections from all their stores? That was a tragic loss for many quilters. Those living in rural areas miles away from a JoAnn store could count on WalMart being nearby and having fabric. It took a few years of national protests, quiet but effective, to convince WalMart to return fabric departments to their stores. I think they used the fabric space for party supplies and that didn't work out. Anyway, I am so glad they brought back the fabric departments. We all know some fabric is better than others. I guess it's up to us to shop wisely.
