My DH thinks all quilts should be big, so I did get out the graph paper and I worked out the math for a 5' X 6' quilt i would need...... 980 9-patches and 980 2" shirting squares for between. But I have to say I am having fun making the strip sets for the 9-patches so I do already have 900 9-patches made (just not pressed open yet). I buy alot of fat quarters so that will give me alot of variety for the 2 inch squares between. Just haven't decided if I want a big quilts or lots of littles. See many kinds of 9 patch in a 9patch in a 9patch. So haven't decided. From having my big quilts quilted, I use a premium muslin for the backing. So I am using muslin scraps in the 9 patches between the cw fabrics.
