Thank you everyone for your responses! I think I've decided to save the batting for charity quilts as most of the quilts I want to make are of a more modern nature, where I would prefer the flatter look of a cotton batting rather than this high loft look, which I think of for a more traditional style. Alternatively, I can use it for practice machine quilting too, so either way, it won't be wasted
