I finally decided to order Quilter's Dream cotton request in white from Amazon. This quilt really needs a bleached white batting, as the "natural" color bleeds through the thin white background fabric. Mountain Mist was the only bleached white batting I had on hand and I might have used it, but it will shrink and this time I don't want the crinkled look.

Has anyone preshrunk QD cotton request? I'm thinking it might be able to tolerate soaking, spin out in washer, and dryer heat because it is needlepunched. (I know the Mountain Mist would fall apart if I tried this with it.) I know it's supposed to shrink a max of only 3%, but I'd like even less shrinkage than that. And I know at some point in its life it will get tossed into a washing machine with hot water and will be dried on high heat.

quiltingshortimer, I have used Hobbs 80/20 but always in the natural color. I don't think it comes in a bleached white?
