That's a gorgeous block! I love Jenny Doan's tutorials and like you, I do a lot better with visuals rather than reading instructions.
The only thing I see that may be problematic are the outer blocks. The points look like they may be cut off when you sew it to the next block or whatever you're sewing it to. That's a challenge for a beginner for sure.
I would just redo those corner blocks.
