I've made 3 "super" size queen EPP quilts, and I'm not picky about thread, or needles. I usually have Coats & Clarks on hand, so use it. What ever needle is comfortable. I haven't glued my hexies, so use cheap "what ever" thread to stitch to papers. I whip stitch the hexies, and use one color thread. White or off white. I guess my stitches are small enough that they don't show when finished. I don't usually use bees wax. Seems its never handy when I'm stitching, and I'm too lazy to get up and go get it!
