I am 5'4" and I have a drop down ironing board; the type that mounts on a door but mine is built into a cabinet in my sewing room; I put the metal 36" ruler under it; it fits perfectly just under the edge so I figure the top of the board is about 36 1/2 from the floor. NO bending at all.
