I got my squares done and ready to stitch together when my sewing machine started to act up. The top thread is catching on something so I guess I'll have to take it in. I have my old one around here someplace but I'll have to remember how to use it. [/QUOTE]

If your thread is catching somewhere above the needle plate, try pulling some Unwaxed dental floss through your tension disks, the same direction the thread travels. If it is catching below, look to make sure you don't have a piece of thread wrapped around something in your bobbin case. I just found one today in that area in one of my machines Hope one of these helps, I had to take my regular machine in 2 weeks ago and it had to go back to the factory so I totally understand a machine breakdown.

I almost forgot one other thing: I had thread catching on a nick on the thread spool once....
