John Deere Bed Runner
There is a state convention of our ladies' group at church this summer, and each district is asked to make and contribute bed runners. The host congregation regularly makes and donates quilted bed runners to a local Hospice. They plan to use the bed runners they receive for decoration at the convention before donating them to the patients.
I chose to make a John Deere runner, because I think it will appeal to a farmer or rancher in their community. It is made from cheater cloth (AKA convenience fabric), but I had to do quite a bit of piecing to make my remnants work. It is so much fun to do the small projects!
