Started picking fabrics and cutting pieces for the applique. Really working out of my traditional standard. I hope I can pull this off. The background fabric is a vintage piece dating from(?) and I want to keep it uncut as much as possible so it can be better enjoyed. All the other fabrics are from my extensive scrap pile.

It sure is. Your vintage fabric is perfect for the background. It will be a stunner for sure.
