My parents honeymooned at Yellowstone in 1959, and witnessed a woman who brought honey to Yellowstone in order to get photos of a bear licking honey off of her children. Yup, that was her primary reason for visiting Yellowstone. She had smeared her children with honey, and was directing them toward a mother bear with cubs on the side of the road when my parents became aware of what was happening. Several people stepped in, and put a stop to it. Others drove to the nearest ranger station to report her. I don't know what happened after that, but I hope she lost custody of those kids!
