I bet you are waiting on pins and needles for that part. : )
I researched and checked machines for several years. I didn't go with Janome or Bernina, because to me, they are still sewing machines, and I don't believe they would hold up to the use I plan to gi her. I check with Nolting owners several times and their machines were always down and they didn't know when they would get fixed. I visited a friend that has a Gammill. She does only computer because she has to change rails reconfigure, etc to do something else. I want to be able to do rulers, fmq, computer (when I get on) and keep on going. Grace was just plain rude when I called them to inquire. I could have dealt with a HQ dealer but their rails are in pieces. I don't want my rails to wear and give. I went to an APQS roadshow last year and their machine really impressed me. It runs smooth, life-time warranty, brass rails are 1 piece (they are extremely heavy),great table, hydraulics. They teach you to do the oiling and servicing is not required yearly.

These are just my observations. I am not putting down any other machine. This was just the best choice for me. Whatever you choose, you will love and get the enjoyment out of. Please don't get upset with my observations.
