I live in Lake Placid - the nearest Quilt shop is in Saranac Lake - about 10 minutes away - Piece by Piece Quilt Shop (you can look it up on the internet for hours). If you are a hiker, there are lots of beautiful short hikes - or long ones if you want! And of course - there are all the Winter Olympic sites to see - you can get a "passport" to see them all.
