Not necessarily, depends on how the policy reads. Some high value items can be excluded in the main coverage, or have a low dollar limit w/o a rider. The other thing you need to ask the agent is if your items are covered at "actual cash value" or "replacement cost". If you policy covers for "acv" your items will be depreciated, while replacement costs will replace new value for old items.

Didn't know there was such a thing! Hubby has a good amount of coverage on our house "contents", so I guess my machines would be covered under that.
