The dryer sheets were used, not new. I know that others have had good results with the dryer sheets, so the problem was most likely me.
Mainly, I'm sure, because I did not baste it at all, thinking it was small enough. I also got frustrated with it and just wanted it done. Ah, well. Lesson learned. I may give it another go sometime. I liked using up all those odd crumbs.
I am still saving dryer sheets. I try to recycle, re-use things when I can. Someone at my guild said they save dryer sheets for cat/small dog beds. So, I'm thinking of some old pillow cases I have that can be stuffed with dryer sheets. But that will take ALOT of dryer sheets!!
