Oh my goodness, what a great idea. I have a very good friend who talks about quitting smoking and taking up quilting.
Her DD is on a long waiting list to adopt a child. This would be the prefect project for her. She can keep her hands busy, learn to quilt and have a gift for her grandchild when it arrives. (likely to be at least one more year of waiting).
We are going to a quilt show this weekend. I will suggest it to her. She is welcome to us my stash of fabric.
I started my first Hexi project while travelling in May. It was great to have a project to occupy my hands while traveling and during the evenings.
