I use glue basting for a variety of things, applique, binding, piecing (matching up intersections)
I did try it on cotton batting on a small sample for sandwiching and was not at all pleased with the results.
I don't think it would work well at all on poly batting, because you heat set it with an iron and the heat would flatten out the poly :wink:
