Geri,

You would sew a three (quantity) of 4 inch blocks to get the 12 inch finished block.
Example: 4 inch finished square, 4 inch finished QST, and 4 inch finished square= 12 inch block

Repeat a set of blocks and you get a 12 inch block. Depending on the fabrics used the designs create sub-designs in the quilt. Check the finished sizes for the dies in the cube. Most finish at 4 1/2 inches.

We used 6 inch blocks to make 18 inch finished blocks. What pattern were you considering from EB?
