I still find it intimidating - and overwhelming -
I find it a bit amazing that what I used to do with a pair of scissors, old machine, pencils, needles and threads have become an industry. I do love all the new inventions, but do I buy them? sometimes, mostly not. I think the rotary cutter is one of the best inventions, along with clear acrylic rulers. Makes cutting so much easier. I think next year I'll go to the Ontario (CA) International Quilt Show just to catch up on the new trends. I haven't gone in the last couple of years.
IF I look at the things I've bought vs the things I actually use, I realize many were just "vanity purchases" so I could say I had it.
