Default The thrill of the hunt 301

I have been looking for a cheap 301 for a couple of years. I knew where I could find some for "not bad" prices. Another enthusiast and I were discussing them Saturday. She is frugal also. Today I hit a thrift on my lunch hour. Interesting aged cabinet and chair. Top was closed. Price on it made me guess 60s zig zag, maybe plastic inside. Lifted the lid. Whoa, back side looks like a 301. Yeppers. Short bed flip up.
Mine mine mine screams my brain. Now I'm in full defense mode to get the get the sale tag to the counter. Paid for it. Got my screwdriver from the car to liberate the head. A woman was looking at it.
Whew, a few moment difference and I could have lost it.

Haven't touched it yet, but it turns and has all it's bobbin bits. When I go get the cabinet tomorrow, I ll make a donation. Also got a pair of 68 Charger wheel covers.

1951 but no centennial badge. I don't care. Somebody is excited.
