Geri B, apparently it is all the rage now. I googled it and got loads of hits. To the OP, Fabric.com has an assortment of solid guazes at $3.95 per yard for 52" wide. https://www.fabric.com/collection/is...e-gauze-fabric

Of course the cute prints are the price of high end quilting cottons in the $10 to $12 price range. Fabric.com looks to be your best on line source for it.

Edited to add that the more expensive gauze is doubled already or states "double gauze" so you may not need as much as you originally thought when you stated "multiple layers". Additionally it appears most of the gauzes are 52" wide as opposed to standard quilting cottons which only average 42" wide. Here is a link to all their gauzes. There are some really cute ones for babies. I can see why you want to pursue this. Please post pics of what you make! https://www.fabric.com/find?fabric-type=gauze
