I believe the raw edge roses are called French Roses. I plan to use them on a quilt for my blind GGD and rather than place them within a block, I plan to scatter the over the top allowing for some to overlap. I will use an inner border to mark the mattress size to help her aline the top when she attempts to make her bed. I already have the fabric and will start it as soon as I finish her sister's queen quilt.
