I’ve done it twice and was pleased both times. I like nice but I’m not a perfectionist. I cut off my binding, cut 2 borders, sewed them together, cut my batting and backing. I pinned the front of that big border to edge of quilt laying it back onto the quilt, at the same time pinning the batting and backing to the edge laying it over the quilt back. I sewed that all around, heavily pressed it in place, quilted it and rebound it. It was a lot of work but I wanted to continue using the quilt but on a different bed, so I made this work.
