By registered in your name, I assume you have a Roku account at roku.com? If this is the case, you can sign in to your account at roku.com, click on "my account", scroll down and you can see where you can unlink the Roku device from your account. You can identify which unit you want to unlink by its serial number.
It's a good idea to unlink the Roku from your account so that, if you ever decide to add a credit card to your Roku account (an easy way to pay for channels such as Netflix, for example) you won't get charged if your friend decides to subscribe to a paid channel.
