Do you make them her way, or have you figured out a more economical way? I made some from that book for the Winter Block swap, and was surprised at the waste. Her method has you discard almost as much as you keep.
I agree, there is a lot of waste so I don't make them very often. Sometimes I think it would be easier to do them as paper pieced blocks, but I also always waste a lot of fabric when I use that method!
