A lesson I learned before I quit the last time is that you can't ever have another cigarette. I had quit previously for a year at least twice, but I thought I could have "just one". I couldn't. For me, just one cigarette and I was hooked all over again.
It's been about 25 years and once or twice a year, I'd still like to have a cigarette. The thought of having to quit again keeps me on the straight and narrow, though.
