Thanks everyone! You gave me the push to give it a try. It wasn't that hard. I did have to buy a triangle ruler, but Lee Heinrich's QAL had excellent directions and pictures. The hardest part for me was pressing the seams open. I can see why that was necessary as the center "points" are bulky. And now I know how to make a hexi block without a Y seam!
