Default Fractured Crystals

Slowly, but surely, I am getting my mother's room all finished up. I just finished her quilt. In the background of one of the pictures, you can see the curtains I also made for her room from the same fabrics.

The pattern is Fractured Crystals by Linda Ballard (found here). I had the great pleasure of attending one of her workshops years ago, and it is one of my favorite patterns. Despite how intricate it looks, the instructions in her workbook are so clear and easy to follow, with plenty of illustrations, so it is actually a breeze to piece. I highly recommend this pattern for anyone who wants a quick go-to pattern, or even something new for those charity quilts--I've managed to cut and stitch up a lap size version in under 4 hours.
