My input: You can't square a knit fabric because it is made in a tube and then cut on one side. Consequently, the crosswise threads run at a slight angle spiraling down to the next round, as opposed to a woven which goes back and forth in a complete motion. You have to find a straight vertical rib, fold there, and let the edges fall where they may. I like your fabric.
