I am not an experienced quilter. I rely on my instinct. Since I am a scientist, I also rely on logical, reasoning. That's why I want to listen to all the opinions here. I want to know how other quilters choose their colors and fabrics.
For me, this is a learning process. Learn and understand myself.
I guess it comes down to what the function of sashing is about. White sashing makes sashing part of whole (connect each block together). light orange makes each blocks stands out and "pop"?
In either case, I've learned a lot from all of you. Thank you!
So many great thoughts and opinions but ultimately it should be what makes you the happiest. I'm an accountant so I understand the logical reasoning, but there are no "quilt police" here, so follow your heart with this one.
