My favorite came from the little book that was in the Rival Crockpot when I bought it. Husband pleasing bean-pot. It uses canned beans but you could figure out how to sub. There is never any left at a pot luck.

Someone else who knows this one, can offer corrections, I'm trying to do it from memory.

2 strips of bacon cooked
add one chopped onion
saute the two above.
add one pound ground beef
cook all above until done.

In crock pot: 2 cans white Great Northern beans drained
2 cans pork and beans, not drained
1 can red kidney beans drained
1 can butter limas drained.

1/4 cup brown sugar
3 tlbs ???? white vinegar
1 cup catsup
1 teasp??? liquid smoke
1 teasp ground peper
2 teasp salt

Cook in crockpot for about 2-4 or more hours. Serve with a spoon and a side of crusty bread..

I sure hope I haven't left anything out. Marcia
