I order from them alot, and I'd say it's about 50/50 whether or not I got something fun for free. Some of the charm packs have been beautiful, some not so much. I did enjoy getting free thread!
Their customer service is fantastic though, so if you ever have a problem, please do contact them! I've had to contact them twice out of all of my (many....) orders and they have not failed yet to please me.
eta: I'm grateful whenever I receive anything for free and it is very appreciated. I don't expect it, so it's just fun when there's something additional in there.
