Yes, you will need a belt.
I would
not go with a stretch belt. I would prefer a black rubber v-belt. You might have to go with the other type v-belts to get the correct size. I think that if you check with sew-classic.com that she has somewhere on her site how to measure for the belt.
Another thought is that it might be a stretch one that they used originally. Does the manual tell you to remove the belt from the hand wheel and put it on the bobbin winder to wind the bobbin????
