So after you've sew it, Traced the perforated line its doubly perforated and tears very nicely. I've used all sorts of paper, even copy paper. My decisions are usually based on what do I have available right now. The follow up involeves looking for tiny bits left behind and removing them with tweezers. Hope that helps.
