I replaced the sponge bar and oiled and cleaned the whole thing. I found it at a garage sale years ago for $5, with all the instructions manuals, some patterns and even an old VCR on how to use it! The underside of the plastic carriage is a bit dented, which makes me wonder if the previous owner was rough on it. It might just need all new needles. I would love to get it up and running to make baby sweaters and blankets.
