You know..... this is a great idea - I hadn't given this much thought in the past while kids were growing up - and there are always those "lost" socks with no mate to live with. and in thinking about your idea, I thought about one to add to your adventure. Not only would each sock have a life of it's own, but also using all of those scraps of batting that have no real life ahead because they are too small and filling each sock, like a small pillow.
