My last block...... what a mess. Total disclosure: This was the first block I started. Christmas fabric and just add WOW. How can I go wrong? Well, made a double sawtooth (lots of HST) and it turned out nice, but.... It was too big. And, you can’t really cut down this pattern, I tried and asked around, but decided to make another pattern. Sewbiz was gracious enough to send me some more fabric. Well, I knew I was going to have to incorporate some of the hst in new pattern, so I just winged it. Made my own pattern. Well, this one was too small.
With a few adjustments (lots of ripping), it is “almost” 12.5”. Very close, but I’m going to ask Klaws for another chance. Hopefully she will have some extra Santa laying around and I’ll make another. Definitely from a published pattern!! I decided to post this one because..... we all make mistakes. Right?
