I did not bother to cut them on the bias. Hoping for the best. and not wanting to invest $70 or more in a rug I might not be able to pull off. Will post a picture when and if I get it done!

I watched this video too. He shows how to get away from the "bowl" problem during sewing. It's worth the watch.
