When we had our RV, my mother made a fitted sheet for the mattress over the cab (a real pain to make the bed) and she attached the top sheet to the bottom when she sewed to corners at the foot. The result was you only had to get that corner on the mattress (only one time having to crawl into the corner) and both sheets were on at the same time. Made removal a lot easier too.
