Are you talking about a glass covering the burners? I have a black glass top on my electric stove, but I haven't heard about that on a gas stove. My dd has a gas stove, but it doesn't have a cover over the burners. I can tell you how I clean mine, but it may not work the same way as yours. Either way... it's only an appliance designed to help you. We don't worry too much about streaks on stuff. We are too busy having fun and quilting!!
